Mote is the generic name for several varieties of corn grains boiled, consumed in many regions of South America. It is usually prepared by boiling the grains in water.
These corn kernals, when cooked in water, are a light and healthy way to add to your salads, casseroles, soups, omelettes. When roasted it makes a great snack (we’d sprinkle on one of our Lemon Peppa , Salt & Vinegar or Harissa Seasonings).
